Chinese embassy denies plan to co-build Kra Isthmus Canal with Thailand
China has no plan to co-build the Kra Isthmus Canal in Thailand alongside the Thai government, according to chinadaily.com.cn, citing the Chinese embassy in the country.
就目前热传的中泰拟建克拉地峡运河的消息，中国驻泰国大使馆表示，据使馆了解，中国政府有关部门迄今为止没有参与关于此项目的研究和任何具体合作，也未就此问题发表过任何立场。
19日早些时候，参考消息网转引台媒报道称，宁波海事局官方微博15日公布，中泰两国在广州签署“克拉运河”合作备忘录。报道还称，这条国际海运线将不必绕过新加坡、取道马六甲海峡。(记者 赵艳蓉)
